Inside the Build. How We Design and Construct a Nordic and Spruce Tiny Home

Built by Hand. Guided by Purpose.
Every Nordic and Spruce tiny home begins in our workshop in Monterey, Tennessee. Inside, our small team of five craftsmen brings each design to life with care and precision. We are hands on builders who take pride in every cut, every joint, and every finish.
Our shop includes four bays set up in an assembly line style that allows us to work efficiently while keeping a close eye on quality. Every home is a team effort, and every member of our crew knows exactly how each house is put together. That attention to detail is what defines us.
From Design to Build. How the Process Works.
It all begins with design. We use specialized Tiny Home software to create detailed layouts and models. Customers can also visit our website and use our configurator to get a quick idea of their dream home. Once they share their vision, we draw up floor plans and send them back for review so we can be sure we are on the same page before we begin.
When the customer is ready to move forward, we ask for a $2,500 deposit to secure their spot in the build schedule.
For custom builds with permanent changes, we require fifty percent down when construction begins, and the remaining fifty percent two weeks after completion or at pickup, whichever comes first.
For spec models without permanent changes such as doors, windows, or wall layouts, we ask for a $2,500 deposit followed by full payment two weeks after completion or pickup, whichever comes first.
We encourage every client to visit the shop or send a trusted representative to inspect the home before making the final payment.

Framing for Strength and Longevity.
Each home is framed with 2x4 lumber, sixteen inches on center, with proper headers and bracing throughout. Bridge straps tie the walls together across the top, and hurricane ties connect the roof to the walls and the studs to the trailer. The structure is bolted all the way through for a solid connection from the ground up.
This system creates a frame that is strong, secure, and built to last.
Materials That Reflect Our Values.
We believe in using materials that combine performance, beauty, and responsibility. Our interiors feature warm pine finishes that create a natural, calming atmosphere. For insulation our preference is Rockwool in the walls, floors, and roof. It resists mold, repels moisture, and maintains its performance for the life of the home. Closed cell spray is optional.
Our exteriors combine steel siding with natural cedar ends. The steel carries a forty year warranty for durability, while the cedar provides natural beauty and timeless charm. Together they create a balanced look that feels at home in the woods, by the lake, or in town.
Windows and Light.
Natural light defines our interiors. We design each home with plenty of windows to connect the inside with the outside. Sunlight and views make small spaces feel larger, and every home we build is meant to invite the outdoors in.
Built to Code. Built for Peace of Mind.
Every Nordic and Spruce tiny home is inspected and certified to ANSI 119.5 standards through NOAHcertified.org. This ensures that every build meets national codes for structure, safety, and systems. Certification provides confidence for our customers and a clear record of quality.
Homes That Belong Anywhere.
We build homes that fit into their surroundings. Small enough to move easily. Strong enough to last. Beautiful enough to belong anywhere. Each one is built by hand with craftsmanship, care, and pride.
